Investor Residence in New Zealand
New Zealand has unique residence rules. After qualifying for residence and, in the case of the investor categories, after the investment period is complete, residence is held indefinitely, without any further presence requirement.
During the investment period residence is held and the grantee (and his or her dependants) can chose to either live indefinitely in New Zealand or to simply meet the residence requirements attached to the investment period and take up residence at any time in the future. It is truly a bolt-hole visa. For investor 1, this requires just 88 days over the three-year investment period (NZ $10M).
Ryken and Associates has specialised in investor 1 and investor 2 visas for many years, assisting clients from the US, Germany, France, the UK, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Japan, Russia, and many other countries. We often work through local law firms or accounting firms but also directly with clients where requested. We have a proven track record and are able to assist new clients.
New Zealand has proven itself to be a reliable destination in the way the current administration has handled the current Covid-19 crises.
